Unlike the full course breakfast of the British and Americans, Italians only have coffee, or cappuccino, and a cornetto (croissant). Nutritionists are now criticizing this habit and are trying to convince parents to give their children cereals and milk and a fruit and educate them about the importance of a proper breakfast.
Here are my homemade croissants, plain and with, guess what? NUTELLA!
It takes two days to make homemade croissants and it's a very tiresome procedure but they are so much better than the store bought ones, and the ones sold at the cafes. At home you know what you put in them ... good quality flour, yeast and butter.
