A Sicilian brioche is actually a sweet bread bun, sort of like a hamburger bun, except that it's sweeter. They split it in half and fill it with ice cream. Very often this is lunch. It's very filling. Personally I prefer the gelato in a cone or in a cup, I don't like the brioche, too sweet, and rather artificial, unless it's made by the shop itself.
