3 Questions you need to ask yourself before starting a blog

If you look around the web you will notice that everyone is a blogger or writer.

It's very easy to open a blog and write whetever comes to your head. The hard part is getting an audience to read your posts, and, even harder, to get people to comment, but harder than all, is getting people to come back to your blog.

Before getting down to writing you should ask yourself "who am I writing for?" (target audience); why am I writing? ... to sell a product, to teach people something they don't know but will find useful? Or am I just writing to impress?

Once you have your ideas straightened out, you can start writing.

Let me know what you are writing about. If I find it interesting I might just come over and check out your blog.

  1. I write book and event reviews for Christchurch City Libraries. I don't give bad reviews - if something doesn't grab me I won't review it. Love my job I've met lots of great authors (hope to meet Margaret Atwood tonight) FJ
